natal day

how many people does it take to mess up a long running festival, since amalgamation they have slowly taken our identy from us little by little,the commitee for the natal day festivities first joined the natal day weekends together then they changed the parade route,and now the parade is to the point were i cant see it surviving i have enjoyed the natal day weekend since i was a small child and have looked forward to its arrival every year,my family has gotten together every year on the commons, not by choice i agreed to join in the family get together last year when they changed the route but after this years parade which i would refer to as a disgrace i am not sure if i will be attending in the future,when is the commitee going to stop messing with tradition,halifax and dartmouth were always two seperate cities with their own birthdays,so how come we now celebrate our birthdays together,i hope the group that recently started fighting to have halifax restored to it's former self standing alone as it's own city is successful as well dartmouth should have it's own identity as well, i would like to know if any one else feels as i do
